WVU Track & Field Opens Indoor Season with Split Squad at Youngstown and Boston

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team officially opens the 2025-26 indoor season with a split-squad weekend at the Youngstown Icebreaker and the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
A large group of Mountaineers will compete at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 at the Youngstown Icebreaker.
Icebreaker Participants
60m – Sierra Heisey
200m – Cate Pickering, Audrey Thomas, Mae Nelson
400m – Lily Haught, Izayah Everett, Cate Pickering, Annishka McDonald, Sierra Heisey, Eva Craigie, Audrey Thomas, Mae Nelson
Long Jump – Alicia Hall
Triple Jump – Alicia Hall
High Jump – Annishka McDonald
Shot Put – Olivia Cress
Mile – Tecla Lokrale, Aislinn Frazer, Ella White
3,000m – Alyssa Sauro, Aislinn Frazer, Mary Delaney, Eva Rinker, Kishay Rowe
WVU will also send a small distance group to the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday Dec. 6. The meet is set to start at 9:45 a.m.
