
Caldeira Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Marcus Caldeira of the West Virginia University men's soccer team has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
Caldeira opened the week with a hat trick against St. John's in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Down 2-0, he got the Mountaineers on the board in the 69th minute. Trailing 3-2 in the 87th minute, Caldeira scored his 40th career goal to tie up the contest and send it to overtime where he put home the game-winner in the 94th minute.
Against High Point in the second round, the Mississauga, Ontario native scored his 42nd career goal to put him in third place all-time in WVU history. It was his 14th goal of season, marking a new career high.
