
Mountaineers Host No. 21 Colorado in Midweek Big 12 Clash

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team (15–11, 3–11 Big 12) continues its three-match homestand by welcoming No. 21 Colorado (21–6, 11–4 Big 12) to Hope Coliseum on Wednesday, Nov. 19. First serve is set for 6 p.m. ET.
Wednesday's match will be the True Blue game. All fans are encouraged to wear blue.
Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com or calling 1-800-WVU GAME. When purchasing online, tickets are $10 each and $7 each for groups of 10 or more. Any remaining tickets are $12 at the ticket window on match day.
WVU student tickets are available at the Mountaineer Ticket Office, located at the Hope Coliseum, and are free with a valid WVU Student I.D. The office, as well as the stadium gates, opens at 5 p.m. on game day.
Alex Weiderspiel and Sam Bailey have the call of Wednesday's match on ESPN+, while live stats are available at WVUsports.com.
Wednesday's contest marks the third all-time meeting between the Mountaineers and the Buffaloes. The series is tied at one game apiece, with Colorado winning this season matchup in five sets on Oct 19. This is the first time the Buffaloes have traveled to Morgantown.
Statistically, the Mountaineers rank top five in the Big 12 conference in hitting percentage at .345.
Individually, redshirt junior setter Alexis Finnvold stands second in the conference in service aces (48) and aces per set (0.48). Senior libero LonDynn Betts ranks fifth in total digs (373). Junior middle blocker Maddy McGath is seventh in hitting percentage (.345), while senior middle blocker Laila Ibrahim sits at 13th in total blocks (103.0) and 12th in blocks per set (1.12).
The Buffaloes enter Wednesday's match with a 21–6 overall record and an 11–4 mark in Big 12 play. Colorado dropped its most recent contest to then-No. 8 Arizona State in five sets on Nov. 15. Head coach Jesse Mahoney, now in his 10th season, leads the program. Junior pin hitter Ana Burilovic, a 2024 All-Big 12 Second Team honoree, was named to the Big 12 Volleyball Preseason Team.
