MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University tennis team returns to competition this weekend as it hosts the Martha Thorn Invitational, set for Oct. 3-5 at the Mountaineer Tennis Courts.
WVU enters the weekend following a successful showing at the Thunder in the Mountains tournament in Charleston, W.Va. The weekend was highlighted by
Julie Bousseau, who captured the singles title, giving the Mountaineers their second straight tournament with a singles champion this fall.
Along with West Virginia, the teams competing in the Martha Thorn Invitational include Duquesne, Liberty, Penn State and Virginia.
The first round of doubles is set to begin at 11 a.m. and singles begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3.
Tournament draws will be posted to WVU Tennis' official X account when they are released.
