The West Virginia University women's soccer team prepares to cap the road portion of its regular-season schedule at Kansas State on Sunday, Oct. 19. Kickoff at the Wildcats' Buser Family Park is slated for 2 p.m. ET.

Sunday's match marks the ninth meeting between West Virginia and Kansas State, as WVU holds an unbeaten record in the series at 7-0-1. Last season, the two teams met in Morgantown, with WVU earning a 2-0 win on Sept. 19. West Virginia scored goals in the 41st and 77th minutes to earn the shutout victory
The Mountaineers have met the Wildcats in the regular season each year during Big 12 Conference play since KSU started its soccer program in 2017. Sunday's meeting will mark the first matchup between
Nikki Izzo-Brown and KSU's first-year head coach Colleen Corbin.
Last time out, West Virginia played to a 2-2 draw at Kansas in Lawrence on Oct. 16. The Mountaineers were on the board first, before the Jayhawks responded with two goals of their own in a 10-minute span. WVU then equalized in the 40th minute to make the score 2-2, which would hold until the final whistle despite offensive pressure from both teams in the second half. West Virginia was outshot in the match, 13-7, while KU also took a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Jayhawks dominated corner kicks, earning 11 corners compared to just one for the Mountaineers.
White leads the team with eight goals, seven assists and 23 points on the year. She ranks No. 5 in the Big 12 in total goals and goals per game (0.62), as well as No. 3 in the league in total points.
Colleen Corbin is in her first season as the head women's soccer coach at Kansas State after being hired to take the helm in Manhattan in December 2024. The Wildcats enter Sunday's matchup with a 7-4-3 record so far in 2025, with the squad coming off a 2-0 win over Cincinnati on Oct. 16. Hannah Palmer leads the Wildcats offense so far this season with five goals and 14 points. In goal, Maddie Sibbing has registered 43 saves on the year.
