The Jayhawks then earned the 1-0 win in double overtime in the Big 12 Quarterfinal matchup, before going on to be crowned the 2024 Big 12 Tournament Champions. WVU and KU have met in the regular season each year since WVU joined the conference in 2012.
Last time out, West Virginia earned a come-from-behind, 3-2 win over Houston at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown on Oct. 10. Two different Mountaineers found the back of the net in the victory, including sophomore midfielder
Maddie Levy and senior forward
Taylor White. White scored twice, with her second strike credited as the game winner. Sophomore midfielder
Ava Arnold was credited with a pair of assists, one on Levy's goal and one on White's first goal. WVU allowed UH to take the lead twice in the match, but White scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of the contest to seal the victory.
White leads the team with eight goals, seven assists and 23 points on the year. She ranks No. 5 in the Big 12 in total goals and goals per game (0.62), as well as No. 3 in the league in total points.
