
Mountaineers Open Two Game Road Swing in Lubbock

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 17-ranked West Virginia University women's basketball team opens its two-game road trip in Lubbock on Wednesday, Jan. 8, when the Mountaineers take on Texas Tech inside United Supermarkets Arena at 7 p.m. ET.
The contest against the Red Raiders will be broadcast live on the Mountaineer Sports Network, including 100.9 WZST-FM, with Andrew Caridi on the call. Fans also can listen to the game on the Varsity Network App. Additionally, Wednesday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+, with Ron Thulin and Brandi Poole on the call. The matchup will be the 25th meeting between WVU (12-2, 2-1 Big 12) and Texas Tech (12-4, 1-2 Big 12). West Virginia is 18-6 all-time against TTU, including a 7-4 mark when playing inside United Supermarkets Arena. The Mountaineers have won 13 of the last 14 meetings and have not lost to the Red Raiders in regulation time since the 2017 season.
