
West Virginia No. 16 in AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team has climbed four spots to No. 16 in the 12th edition of the AP Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll, released on Monday. The Mountaineers have been featured in the poll every week this season.
WVU earned 259 points in the poll. Four Big 12 teams appeared in the rankings, including No. 9 TCU (504), No. 10 Kansas State (491) and No. 25 Baylor (37). Utah and Oklahoma State are featured in the receiving votes section.
Additionally, the NCAA's NET ranking was released and has the Mountaineers seated at No. 11.
West Virginia heads to Arizona this week for two contests. WVU opens play on Wednesday, Jan. 22 when they take on Arizona State in Tempe with tipoff set for 8:30 p.m. ET inside Mullett Arena.
