MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (May 27, 2024) – The West Virginia University baseball team earned an at-large bid to the 2024 NCAA Baseball Championship on Monday and will head to Tucson, Arizona as the No. 3 seed. The Mountaineers will open with No. 2 Dallas Baptist on Friday afternoon.
It will be the 15th NCAA appearance for West Virginia and second straight, the first time earning back-to-back selections since four straight from 1961-64. It is also the fourth appearance in the
Randy Mazey era after having also earned a selection in 2017 and 2019. Overall, the Mountaineers are 12-27 in regional play.
Friday's first pitch between West Virginia and Dallas Baptist will be at 3 p.m. ET with the game airing on ESPN2. Host and No. 13 national seed Arizona and No. 4 seed Grand Canyon will play the second game of the day on Friday at 9 p.m. ET.
All-session tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, May 28 at 1 p.m. ET. All-session tickets include admission for all six/seven games of the regional tournament.
