MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountaineer Sports Network from Learfield has announced the November lineup for its popular WVU Olympic Sports Coaches Show live from the Mountain State Brewing Company in Morgantown.
The show will move from Tuesday to Wednesday evenings beginning Nov. 6 with WVU Olympic Sport coaches appearing weekly each Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Mountain State Brewing Company's new location on Monongahela Boulevard. The live, 60-minute show will continue to be hosted by Andrew Caridi.
"The first two months of the show have been entertaining and informative for our fans," WVU Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs Matt Wells said. "Our coaches have been able to engage with the local community and highlight their teams and student-athletes. It certainly has put an additional spotlight on our Olympic Sports and introduced new fans to our athletics program."
The November lineup gets started on Nov. 6 with new men's and women's swimming and diving head coach Brent MacDonald. After building a highly successful Big East program at Xavier, MacDonald is tasked with getting the Mountaineers ready for Big 12 competition at the Mylan Park Aquatic Center.
Other coaches slated to appear in November are first-year baseball head coach Steve Sabins and seventh-year wresting head man Tim Flynn.
Fans can continue to look forward to audience interaction and entertainment each week on site, and the one-hour show will still be archived and available the following day on several listening options such as the Varsity App, the Apple Podcast Stream, and the WVUSports.com audio on demand feature located on the school's official athletic website.
The November schedule of WVU Olympic coaches slated to appear in-person at the Mountain State Brewing Company is as follows:
- Wednesday, Nov. 6 – Brent MacDonald, WVU M&W Swimming and Diving
- Wednesday, Nov. 13 – Steve Sabins, WVU Baseball
- Wednesday, Nov. 20 – Tim Flynn, WVU Wrestling
Appearances by additional WVU Olympic coaches during the winter season of competition will be announced at a later date.
