MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –
The West Virginia University women's basketball is set to close out its two-game road trip on Saturday, Jan. 13, when the Mountaineers take on UCF at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
Tipoff against the Knights is set for Noon ET. The contest against UCF will be broadcast live on the Mountaineer Sports Network, including 100.9 WSZT-FM, with Andrew Caridi on the call. Additionally, Saturday's game will be broadcast on Big 12 Now. Live stats and game notes will be available on WVUsports.com.
The contest marks just the second meeting between WVU (13-2, 2-2 Big 12) and UCF (9-5, 0-4 Big 12). West Virginia won the only other meeting, 77-63, on November 19, 2005, on the road at UCF Arena.
The Knights enter the contest on a four-game losing streak, dropping its first four contests of its Big 12 schedule. UCF is 6-3 when playing at home. Central Florida comes into the contest off a 64-63 loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday evening on the road. The Knights were headlined by a career-high 35 points from Kaitlin Peterson in the loss.
UCF is led by Peterson who averages 20.6 points per game, a mark that is the third-best in the Big 12 this season. Achol Akot grabs 8.9 boards per game to lead the team.
Last time out, West Virginia fell in its second straight contest 74-64, to Iowa State on the road in Ames. WVU was led in scoring by sophomore guard
Jordan Harrison, who tallied 17 points, marking the 13th time this season she has reached double figures. She added seven assists, five steals and four rebounds.

Lauren Fields (10.1) lead the Mountaineers' scoring effort this season. Quinerly (3.2), Harrison (2.9), Fields (2.5) and redshirt junior guard
Kyah Watson (2.1) all sit inside the top seven in the conference in steals. Quinerly's mark is the best in the Big 12 and 10
th nationally.
Harrison has racked up 83 assists this season and is averaging 5.5 per contest which is the third-best in the conference. Watson is pacing WVU in rebounding, with 5.4 boards per game.
West Virginia's is averaging 14.8 steals per contest and a plus 9.8 turnover margin this season which are the best marks in the nation. Additionally, WVU forces 24.8 turnovers per game, the third most in the country. WVU's 22.3-point scoring margin this season is the 4th best in the conference.
Also of note, Quinerly sits just 17 points away from 1,000 for her career.
