MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University wrestling team welcomes Glenville State, Edinboro and Northern Colorado to the WVU Coliseum for the Mountaineer Quad on Sunday, Nov. 20. Start time for the event is set for 5 p.m. ET.
Admission to Sunday's event is free, while live stats can be found on

"We are all looking forward to having dual meets and getting that team aspect," fifth-year WVU coach
Tim Flynn said. "It's always nice to come back home. A lot of these kids haven't put on a singlet to compete in a dual meet inside the Coliseum, so I think they're looking forward to doing that as well.
West Virginia leads off the meet against Glenville State in its third meeting between the two programs. The first meeting came in 1975, when the Mountaineers defeated the Pioneers 28-6 on the road, before GSC closed the doors on its wrestling program for the next 45 years.
Then in 2021-22, the two teams faced off for the second time, as WVU pulled away with a 40-3 victory. The Pioneers went on to register a 16-7 record and finish runner-up at the Mountain East Conference Championships in January. They are led by WVU's first Big 12 Champion and third-year coach Dylan Cottrell, who was named Regional Coach of the Year after last season and has the current squad at 6-2 entering the WVU Coliseum.
After squaring off with GSC, Flynn and Co. battle the Edinboro Fighting Scots. No one knows EU better than Flynn, who coached there from 1998-2018. The last time the two programs met, WVU came out of the 2019 Mountaineer Quad with a 22-9 win. Redshirt senior
Alex Hornfeck (157) and senior
Scott Joll (174) are the only current members of the squad who saw action in the victory, including a 7-3 decision by Hornfeck to give WVU a 10-6 advantage going into the second half of the dual. Despite falling to the Mountaineers, the Fighting Scots still hold a 22-12-2 record in the all-time series.
WVU concludes the night in a showdown with Big 12 foe Northern Colorado. The Mountaineers claim a 4-1 lead in the all-time series, including a 14-point win over the then-No. 17 Bears at home midway through the abbreviated 2021 campaign. Junior
Jeffrey Boyd defeated UNC's probable starter, Chris Sandoval, 7-1 in period two of sudden victory. Hornfeck added a 6-1 decision, while junior
Peyton Hall scored a 8-5 victory to complete the upset.
In the polls, West Virginia received eight votes in the NWCA rankings, while six members of the team remain steady in FloWrestling's rankings - No. 7
Killian Cardinale (125), No. 21
Sam Hillegas (149), No. 7 Hall (165), No. 24
Anthony Carman (184), Honorable Mention
Austin Cooley (197) and No. 17
Michael Wolfgram (HWT).
