– The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to Kansas State in three sets to open a two-match homestand at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
The Mountaineers (6-10, 0-4 Big 12) got off to a strong start in the first and third sets against the Wildcats (11-6, 2-2 Big 12) but ultimately fell to conclude the third set.
Fifth-year senior outside hitter
Adrian Ell led the match with 13 kills. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native also tallied two blocks and two assists, both good for second on the team.
Redshirt freshman setter
Kamiah Gibson racked up 29 assists to open the homestand and registered two service aces to lead the team.
Junior libero
Skye Stokes led WVU with 13 digs.
Additionally, West Virginia notched 38 kills and 47 digs to lead the match.
The squad concludes the homestand with a match against Baylor on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. ET, at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown. It is the annual Pink Match at the WVU Coliseum, and fans are encouraged to wear pink. Live stream and live stats for the match can be found on
