West Virginia Falls in Texas

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team fell to No. 1 Texas at the Gregory Gymnasium in Austin, Texas on Saturday, Oct. 22.
 
Freshman outside hitter Bailey Miller led the match in kills (11) and added four digs. She was followed by fifth-year senior outside hitter Adrian Ell, who tallied five kills, seven assists and eight digs.
 
Redshirt freshman setter Kamiah Gibson racked up 18 assists to lead WVU, while junior libero Skye Stokes notched 11 digs to top the Mountaineers.
 
The Mountaineers (7-14, 0-8 Big 12) fell to the Longhorns (15-1, 7-1 Big 12) before falling in set three.
 
Additionally, West Virginia notched 30 kills and 30 digs to lead the match.
 
The squad returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 26, when it returns to Morgantown to square off against Big 12 Conference foe Iowa State at the WVU Coliseum. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET. The match will be broadcast on ESPNU, and live stats for the match can be found on WVUSports.com.
