Barr Named Student-Athlete of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University volleyball sophomore outside hitter Anna Barr has been named the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by University Apartments, after earning MVP honors at the UNT Invitational in Denton, Texas.
The Allen, Texas, native totaled 39 kills over three matches, in route of a 3-0 week for the Mountaineers. She finished with 3.55 kills per set, having only six errors on 75 attempts.
Barr's .440 hitting percentage led the attack for WVU and her eight blocks resulted in 3.91 points per set.
She helped the Mountaineers extend its neutral-site win streak to 10, which is the second longest in the country behind UCLA.
