WVU, UCF to Host Isleworth Collegiate Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University golf team will join UCF in hosting the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, held from Sunday through Tuesday, at Isleworth Golf and Country Club in Windermere, Florida.
The 2022 event marks the fifth season the Mountaineers and the Knights have co-hosted the tournament on the par-72, 7,544-yard course. WVU and UCF will be joined by No. 3 Auburn, No. 9 Illinois, No. 11 Florida, No. 24 Arizona, No. 28 LSU, No. 31 North Florida, No. 42 Purdue, No. 57 South Carolina, No. 72 California, No. 73 UNLV, Augusta, Utah and Minnesota in this year's field.
"We look forward to co-hosting this prestigious event with UCF," coach Sean Covich said. "This golf course is special and will challenge all areas of your game. Our guys have been preparing well and are ready to compete this week."
Senior Trent Tipton, juniors Jackson Davenport and Will Stakel, sophomore Todd Duncan and freshman Kaleb Wilson will represent WVU at the event. Sophomore Max Green will compete as an individual for the Mountaineers.
Golfers will hit the links each morning and play one round each day.
Results will be available at Golfstat.com.
This will be WVU's final fall tournament until the Arizona Intercollegiate on Monday, Jan. 30, in Tucson, Arizona.
