MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Dan Zangrilli reviews the latest West Virginia University sports news in his weekly Mountaineer Insider Podcast, presented by Segra.
This week, Dan visits with sports branding expert and author Jeremy Darlow, who has partnered with Mountaineer football to help players in the transitioning process to another life once their playing careers are over.
Also, Dan examines the budgetary actions director of athletics Shane Lyons announced yesterday as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that has caused disruptions throughout the country.
According to Lyons, more than 40 schools have enacted budget reductions to date - 22 in Power 5 conferences, including six Big 12 institutions.
Lyons held a video conference with local media Friday afternoon following the announcement.
