Olympic Sports Coaches Show Set for February

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Mountaineer Sports Network from Learfield has announced the February schedule for its popular WVU Olympic Sports Coaches Show live from the Mountain State Brewing Company in Morgantown.
The show has four Monday dates scheduled in February with baseball coach Steve Sabins getting the month started on Feb. 2. Swimming and diving coach Brent MacDonald is slotted for Feb. 9. Rifle coach Jon Hammond appears on Feb. 16 and track & field coach Sean Cleary closes the month on Feb. 23. All appearances are scheduled from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Mountain State Brewing Company's location on Monongahela Boulevard and will be hosted by Andrew Caridi.
Sabins starts his second season at the helm on WVU baseball on Feb. 13 at Georgia Southern. The Mountaineers have made two straight appearances in the NCAA Super Regionals. MacDonald will lead his men's and women's teams into the Big 12 championships later in February, while Hammond is in full preparation for his team's defense of its 2025 national championship. Finally, Cleary ends the February schedule with his team just four days away from competing in the Big 12 Championships in Lubbock, Texas.
"Our February schedule features four teams at different points of their seasons," WVU Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs Matt Wells said. "While Coach Sabins prepares to get his team's season started, our three other coaches are winding down and preparing for conference championships. In the case of Coach Hammond, his show will also be a great preview for our fans as the rifle team seeks its 21st national championship."
For those not in attendance, the one-hour shows will be archived and available the following day on several listening options such as the Varsity Network App, the Apple Podcast Stream and the WVUSports.com audio on demand feature located on the school's official athletic website.
