WVU Travels to Oklahoma State Saturday

STILLWATER, Okla. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team travels to Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Saturday, Feb. 8, as the Mountaineers prepare to square off against Oklahoma State
Opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET, at Gallagher-Iba Arena, in Stillwater. Dan Zangrilli and Ayana Dunning will call the game for the Mountaineer Sports Network from Learfield IMG College. The Mountaineers (14-6, 4-5 Big 12) and the Cowgirls (12-10, 3-7 Big 12) meet for the 19th time in the series and the second time this season on Saturday. Oklahoma State won the first meeting, a 57-55 victory in Morgantown. WVU holds the all-time advantage in the series, 10-8. The Mountaineers are 4-4 when playing OSU in Stillwater. West Virginia won its last meeting against the Cowgirls inside Gallagher-Iba Arena, a 77-54 win on Feb. 20, 2019.
West Virginia is coming off a 68-58 loss against Oklahoma on Feb. 5 at the Lloyd Noble Center, in Norman to begin this week's road trip. Sophomore forward Kari Niblack led West Virginia in scoring against the Sooners, with 16 points, and tallied her third double-double of the season (16 points, 10 rebounds). Niblack's 10 boards led the team. Redshirt junior guard Kysre Gondrezick (13 points) and redshirt senior guard Tynice Martin (12 points) also finished with 10 or more points at OU.
Oklahoma State is coming off a 74-63 loss to Iowa State at Hilton Coliseum, in Ames, Iowa, on Feb. 5. Following Wednesday's loss to the Cyclones, OSU has lost four consecutive games, dat- ing back to Jan. 25 (L/61-56 vs. Texas). OSU's last win came against West Virginia on Jan. 22. Vivian Gray continues to lead the Cowgirls in scoring this season, averaging 19.9 points per game. Natasha Mack leads Oklahoma State on the boards and is averaging a double-double for the Cowgirls this year (17.4 ppg, 11.9 rpg). Mack also averages 3.3 blocks per game.
