Mountaineers Remain No. 3

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team continues to rank No. 3 in the College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
This week's rankings are based on NCAA Team Selection Rankings, which are comprised of a squad's top-three scores earned at three different venues. The Mountaineers (9-0, 7-0 GARC) claim an average of 4717.67.
Kentucky (4723) ranks No. 1, followed by TCU (4718.33) at No. 2. Akron (4682.33) sits behind WVU at No. 4, and Air Force (4681.33) ranks No. 5.
Nebraska (4680.67) checks in at No. 6, and Ole Miss (4676.33) comes in at No. 7. Memphis (4675), Navy (4672) and Army (4671.67) round out the top 10.
Looking ahead, the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) regular-season title is on the line, as WVU plays host to UK on Saturday, Feb. 15. Competition is set to begin at 10 a.m. ET at the Bill McKenzie Rifle Range inside the WVU Shell Building. Admission is free and open to the public.
