"We have to learn from this," sixth-year coach
Reed Sunahara said. "They showed why they are the No. 2 team in the country this weekend. We have to continue to improve. We have to get one percent better every time we step out onto the court. We have to take this experience and build on it. We have to use this lesson to our advantage heading into next week's matches."

Audrey Adams and junior outside hitter
Natali Petrova registered six kills apiece to pace the Mountaineers in the loss. Petrova also dug a team-best eight balls on the evening, followed by freshman outside hitter/defensive specialist
Skye Stokes with seven.

Down 18-9 in set one, West Virginia scored six consecutive points to come within three late in the frame. Baylor burned a timeout to regroup, racking up four straight points out of the stoppage to increase its lead to seven at 22-15. Zerwas dumped one over the net on the next serve, but the Lady Bears continued to roll, using a pair of kills to reach set point. However, BU put down its 15th kill of the frame for the first-set win, as WVU fell into a 1-0 hole in the match.
Despite a late first-set rally, the Mountaineers couldn't keep the momentum going in sets two and three, falling by a score of 25-14 and 25-16, respectively.
Up next, the Mountaineers return to the WVU Coliseum for a pair of matches against Iowa State on Nov. 6-7.
