MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University soccer scarf ticket package is now on sale, following a fan vote to determine the design of the 2019 scarf.
In its fifth year, the scarf ticket package includes a scarf and 10 tickets to be used at any women's or men's soccer match during the 2019 regular season. Packages are just $35 and are available while supplies last. To order, visit WVUGAME.com or call 1-800-WVU GAME.
The winning scarf design has the new Nike Mountaineer Soccer wordmark on one side, with the slogan "Almost Heaven" on the other. The soccer teams' Flying WV shield also is on both sides of the scarf.
The six-time Big 12 Conference champion women's team hosts eleven home matches in 2019, including five against conference foes. Led by four-year starting goalkeeper Rylee Foster, the Mountaineers open their home slate against Duquesne on Friday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
The 2018 regular season MAC Champion men's team plays host to nine matches at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in 2019. The schedule is highlighted by a matchup against NCAA College Cup runner-up, Akron, along with other Mid-American Conference opponents Western Michigan and Northern Illinois. The men return seven seniors from the 2018 MAC Championship team, four of whom were 2018 Second Team All-MAC selections, as well as 2018 First Team All-MAC goalkeeper Steven Tekesky.
Scarves and tickets will be delivered in mid-August.
