WVU Receives Votes in AP Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team received 24 votes in the latest Associated Press Poll, released Monday.
The Mountaineers (5-1) are fourth in the "others receiving votes" category, behind Syracuse, Florida Gulf Coast and South Dakota. Big 12 foe TCU received one vote in this week's poll.
Baylor was the conference's lone representative in this week's AP Poll. The Lady Bears checked in at No. 7, with 597 points. Non-conference opponents Mississippi State and Michigan State ranked No. 10 and No. 19, respectively, in this week's poll.
West Virginia next competes on Sunday, Dec. 8, as the team travels to Starkville, Mississippi, to take on the No. 10/8 Mississippi State Bulldogs at 2 p.m. ET, at Humphrey Coliseum.
