MORGANTOWN, W.Va.
– The West Virginia University rowing team concluded its fall season on Friday, as the novice squad traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to scrimmage Duquesne on the Allegheny River.
"We had a productive day," WVU assistant coach
Tina Griffith said. "Overall, the boats did well, and I think today was a good way to end the fall season."
Each team set off from the Three Rivers Rowing Association at Washington's Landing, just outside of downtown Pittsburgh, at 11:20 a.m. ET on Friday. The Mountaineers and Dukes were joined by Robert Morris for Friday's scrimmage.
The Mountaineers boated two 8s and one 4-boat and competed in four, five-minute pieces up and down the Allegheny River. Friday marked the seventh consecutive season WVU has competed against Duquesne and third straight year with RMU.
