
Mountaineers Remain No. 2

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team continues to rank No. 2 in the College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Rankings.
This week's rankings are based on NCAA Team Selection Rankings, which are comprised of a squad's top-three scores earned at three different venues. The Mountaineers (11-0, 6-0 GARC) claim an average of 4709.33.
TCU (4713) ranks No. 1, while Air Force (4702) sits at No. 3. Kentucky (4701.33) ranks No. 4 and Murray State (4699.67) checks-in at No. 5.
Alaska-Fairbanks (4683.33) sits at No. 6 and is followed by Ole Miss (4671.33) at No. 7. Memphis (4670.33), Navy (4668) and Nebraska (4665.67) round out the top 10.
The Mountaineers will be home this weekend and play host to No. 9 Navy at the Bill McKenzie Rifle Range inside the WVU Shell Building, on Saturday, Jan. 26. The first relay is set to begin at 10 a.m.
