Rifle Team Named Student-Athletes of Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team has been named the WVU Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by University Apartments.
The Mountaineers secured the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) regular-season title after defeating No. 1 Kentucky, 4761–4746. The championship marks WVU's third straight regular-season crown and the 17th in program history.
The victory also represented the Mountaineers' 13th ranked win of the year, and they completed conference action with a perfect 5–0 record.
Postseason competition begins with the NCAA Qualifier on Saturday, Feb. 21. The match will be held at the Bill McKenzie Mobile Rifle Range inside the WVU Shell Building.
