MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University soccer scarf ticket package is now on sale, following a fan vote to determine the design of the 2018 scarf.
In its fourth year, the scarf ticket package includes a scarf and 10 tickets to be used at any women's or men's soccer match during the 2018 regular season. Packages are just $30 and are available while supplies last. To order, visit WVUGAME.com or call 1-800-WVU GAME.
The winning scarf design says "Mountaineer Soccer" on one side, with gold, blue and white checkered pattern on the other. The soccer teams' Flying WV shield also is on both sides of the scarf.
The five-time Big 12 Conference champion women's team hosts eight home matches in 2018, including four against conference foes. Led by nine seniors, as well as three-year starting goalkeeper Rylee Foster, the Mountaineers open their home slate against Xavier on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m., at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.
The men's team plays host to eight matches at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in 2018. The schedule is highlighted by a Backyard Brawl matchup against Pitt along with contests against Cincinnati and Mid-American Conference opponents Bowling Green and SIU Edwardsville.
Sixteen lettermen return for this fall, including nine that played in at least 15 matches in 2017. Among the returners are Ryan Kellogg, a CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team honoree in 2017 and Joey Piatczyc, a two-time All-MAC Team honoree who is back on the pitch after missing the 2017 season with an injury.
Scarves and tickets will be delivered in mid-August.
