MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Big 12 Conference today named 19 West Virginia University student-athletes to the 2018 Academic All-Big 12 At-Large Team.
The team recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at Conference institutions who participate in sports outside of Big 12 competition, including rifle and men's soccer.
Tops among the honorees are senior Elizabeth Gratz (marketing) and junior Ginny Thrasher (biomedical engineering) of the WVU rifle team, as the duo boasts 4.0 grade point averages (GPA). This marks the third straight season Gratz, a two-time NCAA Elite 90 winner, earns the honor with a perfect GPA.
Joining Gratz and Thrasher on the first team are teammates Jack Anderson (management), Will Anti (finance and accounting), Milica Babic (industrial engineering) and Morgan Phillips (sport & exercise psychology).
