Baseball Staff to Hold Spring Development Camps

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball staff will host several team development camps this spring.
Three different sessions are currently available, and each session includes five 90-minute practice dates at Monongalia County Ballpark. The camp is open to individuals and entire teams.
Each camp will include instruction and development of individual skills in pitching, catching, infield and outfield play, baserunning, short game offense, hitting and mentality. Additionally, the coaching staff will provide instruction and development of team skills in cuts and relays, pop-up communication, team communication, internal clock awareness, short game defense, team defense and team mentality.
Practice plans for each session have been created by WVU assistant coach Dallas Burke. Each session will be coached by Burke, former Mountaineer pitcher and current director of player development Zack Bargeron, WVU director of player personnel Jared Fabian and other members of the WVU staff.
Development camps are open to any and all entrants aged six to 12th grade.
The total cost for all five dates in each session is $200. If a team of nine or more players sign up, the rate will be $175 per player. Additionally, if more than one player from the same family signs up, the cost will be $175 per player. These discounts are open to any and all ages that sign up for the Spring Development Camp.
Three separate five-practice sessions are available:
Session One, Sundays, 6 p.m. ET – March 18 (following WVU's game vs. Canisius), April 8 (following WVU's game vs. UNLV), April 15 (following WVU's game vs. Oklahoma State), April 22 (following WVU's game vs. Kansas State), April 29 (following WVU's game vs. Texas)
Session Two, Mondays, 6-7:30 p.m. ET – March 19, March 26, April 9, April 16, April 23
Session Three, Mondays, 7:30-9 p.m. ET – March 19, March 26, April 9, April 16, April 23
