MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University women's soccer coach
Nikki Izzo-Brown announced the addition of three student-athletes for the 2018 season.
Set to join the Mountaineers are: Mackenzie Aunkst (Harrison City, Pennsylvania), Jordan Brewster (North Canton, Ohio) and Alina Stahl (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania).
The trio complete the Mountaineers' 2018 signing class, which includes previously announced freshmen Addison Clark, Lizzie Mayfield, Mara Rodriguez and Nahla Turner, as well as transfers Nadya Gill and Kayla Morrison.
"This is an exciting day, and we're thrilled to welcome our final three ladies to the WVU Family," Izzo-Brown said. "These three student-athletes will add a dynamic and hard-working flair to the team. This class is so committed to continuing our tradition of success. They are each motivated and committed to excellence, and that's exciting."
Mackenzie Aunkst, 5-7, Defender, Harrison City, Pennsylvania
Multi-year member of Beadling Soccer Club … led Beadling to the 2017 State Cup and Region 1 Championship … also 2016 Region 1 league champion … named to the 2017 All-Pennsylvania Team while playing for Penn-Trafford High … two-time All-WPIAL honoree … three-time all-section and Big 56 Player selection … also ran track and played basketball for Penn-Trafford … in track, broke three school records as a freshman and was a two-time state qualifier … earned three all-section basketball honors … daughter of Tim and Lisa Aunkst … has one sister and one brother … birthday is March 17.
Jordan Brewster, 5-10, Forward/Defender, North Canton, Ohio
Current member of the United State's Women's U-20 National Team … team alternate for the 2018 CONCACAF U-20 Women's Championship in Trinidad and Tobago … named to U-20 squad for the 2017 Women's Nike International Friendlies and also attended a pair of camps … helped the U.S. Women's U-19 National Team finish in first place at the 2017 CFA International Women's Youth Football Tournament … as a member of the U.S. Women's U-19 National Team, participated in 2017 domestic camps and also international camps and friendlies in the Czech Republic and China … as a member of the U.S. Women's U-18 National Team, participated in 2017 international camp and friendlies in Australia … attended the 2013 U.S. U-14 Youth National Team Training Camp … three-time participant at the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) PDP Midwest/East Region and invited to the 2017 ECNL id2 National Training Camp … 2017 United Soccer Coaches First Team All-America … four-star rating on TopDrawerSoccer.com … ranked No. 11 on IMG Top 150 Players List … member of the National Honor Society at Hoover High … daughter of Kevin and Lynn Brewster … has one brother … birthday is Sep. 27.
