. – The West Virginia women's basketball team will look to bounce back from Saturday's overtime loss to Oklahoma as well as avenge an earlier Big 12 loss when the Mountaineers travel to Manhattan, Kansas, on Tuesday to square off with Kansas State. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. EST at Bramlage Coliseum.

WVU (19-8, 7-8), and K-State (13-13, 5-10) meet for the 13th time overall and the second time this season, with the Wildcats took the previous meeting in Morgantown by a score of 60-52. The Mountaineers dressed eight players and were without senior forward

Naomi Davenport had a team-high 24 points in the win andMuldrow notched her 12th double-double of the season with 23 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Ray set a new career high with 12 assists in the loss to Oklahoma. It marks the third times she has hit double figures in assists three times this season, including a double-double with 10 assists and 12 points at Kansas on Jan. 10. The Alexandria, Virginia, native has dished out eight or more assists in nine games this season. With 412 career helpers, Ray is three shy of cracking the all-time top 10 for career assists. Most impressively, Ray has played just two and half seasons at WVU after transferring from Florida State and had not played point guard before in her career.
After posting back-to-back double-doubles last week,
Teana Muldrow now has 12 on the season and 22nd for her career to move into a tie with Lisa Szymczak for sixth all-time at WVU. A Mountaineer has now posted a double-double in three straight games, as King tied her career high with 13 rebounds at Texas Tech and added 10 points for her third double-double of the season to start the streak. Muldrow, who is tied for second in the Big 12 this season, registered double-doubles against both Kansas (Feb. 14) and Oklahoma (Feb. 17). Muldrow (12), King (3), Davenport (5) and Ray (2) have combined for 22 double-doubles this season.
K-State has put together a 13-13 overall record and a 5-10 mark in league play and is coming off back-to-back losses to No. 6 Texas (76-54) and TCU (87-70). The Wildcats, who have lost four of their last five contests, are averaging 66.4 points per game and 34.3 rebounds per game and are shooting 40.4 percent from the field, 30.2 percent from downtown and 70.1 percent at the free-throw line. K-State ranks third in the Big 12 in both turnover margin (+3.1) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.2).
"They have some shooters and they move the ball well," coach
Mike Carey said. "They play well at home. We've got to go up there, play defense and execute the game plan."
Three starters average in double-figure scoring for the Wildcats, led by Kayla Goth at 16.7 points per game. Peyton Williams (14.1) and Rachel Ranke (11.3) join her in double digits. Williams also leads the rebounding effort with 7.1 boards per game and boasts a team-high 34 blocks. Goth has a team-best 49 steals and 173 assists on the season.
Looking ahead, WVU returns to the Morgantown to wrap up home play against Oklahoma on Saturday at the Coliseum. The Mountaineers will honor their three seniors - Muldrow, King and Ray prior to the 1 p.m. EST start.
