WVU at No. 13 in Coaches Poll

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women's basketball team moved up two spots to sit at No. 13 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Top 25 Poll released on Tuesday.
The Mountaineers (3-0) were initially ranked at No. 15 in the preseason version of the poll. They are No. 11 in the Associated Press Top 25, released on Monday,
WVU earned 405 points for the No. 13 ranking and are one of three Big 12 teams in the rankings. Texas (668) sits at No. 4, while Baylor (550) comes in at No. 9. Oklahoma (76) and Kansas State (3) received votes in the poll.
Following a 3-0 start at the WVU Coliseum, West Virginia travels to Melbourne, Florida, this week to take part in Paradise Jam. The team opens play on Thursday with a noon tilt against Butler at Eastern Florida State College.
