MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -– West Virginia University senior point guard Yolanda Paige has been selected to attend the WNBA's pre-draft camp that will be held this weekend, April 8-10, at the New York Liberty Training Facility, in Tarrytown, N.Y.
She is just one of 40 top college prospects invited to attend the three-day camp which offers WNBA coaches and general managers the opportunity to evaluate the skills of the incoming collegiate draft class in advance of the 2005 WNBA Draft on April 16.
Paige, a 5-foot-6-inch Virginia Beach, Va., native, and this past season's national assist leader at 8.7 per contest, finished her career with 902 assists, seventh all-time in NCAA history. She finished the 2004-05 campaign with 424 points (12.5 ppg), 297 assists (a WVU single season record) and 108 rebounds en route to garnering AP All-American honorable mention honors.
