MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – A partnership of nearly 35 years will continue as the West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and United Bank have agreed to a five-year sponsorship extension, keeping the bank as the exclusive financial institution of WVU Athletics.
"United Bank is family to our athletics department," Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker said. "United has been with us through the good and the bad, the wins and the losses and the ups and downs of college athletics. Through it all, they have remained committed to our coaches, student-athletes and University."
The continuing commitment reaffirms that the bank's leadership and employees are truly United with the Mountaineers. The sponsorship renewal provides a comprehensive multi-media partnership package which showcases the long-standing affiliation not only in WVU's athletic venues but in the financial institution's numerous branches throughout the state.
"No company has been serving West Virginia longer than United, and we are proud to build on that commitment through our renewed partnership with WVU Athletics," United Bank West Virginia Regional President D.F. Mock said. "As West Virginia's bank, it means a great deal to us to continue supporting a program that brings together Mountaineer fans and communities across the state and beyond. We look forward to another exciting season and all that lies ahead."
