Amanda Chastain joined West Virginia University in May 2019 as associate director of compliance.

Prior to WVU, Chastain spent two years working as a compliance specialist at Towson University in Towson, Maryland, where she served as the department’s primary contact for financial aid, National letter-of-intent and aid agreements, athletic roster management and financial aid budgeting.

She also spent one year as a compliance assistant at Georgia Tech in 2017 after earning her master’s degree at Tennessee in recreation and sport management. While earning her master’s degree, Chastain worked as a compliance intern and also taught undergraduate classes in the Physical Education and Activity Program.

The Palmetto, Georgia, native earned her undergraduate degree at Lander University in 2015 in business administration where she also was a member of the Bearcat softball team.

Chastain resides in Morgantown.
