Victoria Paszel joined the Mountaineer athletics staff as Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition for Olympic sports in September 2024.
In this role, Paszel assists with the development and oversight of the nutritional needs for WVU’s Olympic sports student-athletes. She counsels individuals and groups on daily nutrition for performance and health and serves as a food and nutrition resource for Mountaineer student-athletes, providing education and maintaining professional competency and skills required for practice.

Most recently, she worked with the Boston Celtics during their runs to the 2023 Eastern Conference finals and 2024 NBA championship while pursuing her master-of-science degree in nutrition from Boston University.

Her professional experience also includes working for Northwestern University as a dietetic intern, Fuel Forward, a private practice founded by former Miami Dolphins dietitian Mary Ellen Kelly, and completing dietetic internships at Beverly Hospital in Beverly, Massachusetts, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston.

Paszel received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Marist College in 2020.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running and CrossFit, as well as traveling, painting and baking. She resides in Morgantown.
