- At Big 12 Championships, he earned a bronze medal as a member of the 400 medley relay team (3:13.84) at Big 12 Championships
- Huerta competed in two individual A Finals at Big 12s, including the 100 breast (4th - 53.76) and the 200 breast (2:04.10); also touched the wall in 21.06 to place 14th in the 50 free
- Participated in the 100 breast (56.13) and the 50 free (25.75) against Notre Dame

- Against Villanova, he earned a win as a member of the 400 medley relay team (3:19.80) and in the 100 (56.54) and 200 (2:07.35) breaststroke

- Finished in second place (56.92) in the 100 breast and 27th overall in the 200 breast (2:04.48) at the Ohio State Invitational
