Judis Set to Compete in 10,000m at Penn Relays

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia's Chiara Judis is set to compete in the 10,000 meters at the Penn Relays on Thursday, April 23, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:35 p.m.

The Mountaineers are coming off a strong split weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Mountaineer Showcase.

At Bryan Clay, Joy Naukot set a new WVU outdoor 5,000-meter record (15:12.74), breaking the previous mark by more than 26 seconds. Mercy Kinyanjui (No. 2 all-time, 5,000m) and Emily Bryce (No. 2 all-time outdoor, 10,000m) also recorded top marks in program history.

In Morgantown, WVU earned multiple event wins at the Mountaineer Showcase, led by Eva Craigie (100m), Lily Haught (400m hurdles), Mary Delaney (800m), Aislinn Frazer (1,500m) and Olivia Cress (high jump).

West Virginia returns to action May 1-2 at the Virginia High Performance meet.
