
Mountaineers Open Outdoor Season with Split-Squad Weekend

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team opens the outdoor season with a split-squad weekend on March 20-21. The Mountaineers will host the Marty Pushkin Invitational in Morgantown while another group travels to Tampa, Fla., to compete in the USF Alumni Invitational.
West Virginia last competed at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, where Joy Naukot earned First Team All-America honors in the 5,000 meters. Naukot placed seventh overall with a time of 15:19.63.
Competition for both meets are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Live results will be available on WVUsports.com, and the USF Alumni Invitational will be streamed on ESPN+.
