
Mountaineers Set for Sykes & Sabock Challenge at Penn State

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team returns to action at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge, hosted by Penn State at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track in University Park, Pa.
Action is set to being at 11a.m. on Saturday.
West Virginia is coming off a strong showing at the Penn State National Open. Annishka McDonald matched the school record in the high jump by clearing 1.79 meters. In the distance events, Mercy Kinyanjui claimed the 3,000 meter title in 9:04.16, moving her into the program's top five all time indoors, while Joy Naukot earned a victory in the mile with a time of 4:36.59, which also stands fifth in WVU history.
