
Mountaineers Head to University Park for Penn State National Open

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team travels to University Park, Pa., this weekend to compete in the Penn State National Open on Jan. 30-31, at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.
Action is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, with Saturday's events starting at 10 a.m.
The Mountaineers are coming off a strong early season stretch. At the YSU Collegiate Invitational on Jan. 16, Alicia Hall won the triple jump and the 4x400 meter relay team of Lily Haught, Izayah Everett, Mae Nelson and Cate Pickering claimed first place. The following day, at the Nittany Lion Challenge on Jan. 17, Annishka McDonald set a new school record in the high jump.
