MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University cross country team is ranked No. 2 in the Mid-Atlantic Region and No. 10 nationally in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings.
The Mountaineers hold their second straight top-10 national ranking after checking in at No. 5 in the preseason rankings. WVU also holds the No. 2 spot in the Mid-Atlantic Region after opening the season at No. 1.
Freshman
Aislinn Frazer has led the way through the first two meets of the season. She placed sixth overall at both the Lehigh Invitational and the RMU Colonial Invitational.
WVU is one of four Big 12 programs ranked in the national top 25.
West Virginia returns to action on Oct. 4 when the team competes at the 24th Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic.
