
2025 Cross Country Schedule Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2025 cross country schedule.
WVU will start the season on Friday, Aug. 29, at the Lehigh Invitational in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The race is set to start at 6:15 p.m.
The Mountaineers travel to Clinton, Pa. on Friday, Sept. 12, to compete in the RMU Colonial Invitational. The team will then take two weeks before heading to Louisville, Kentucky to race in the 24th Louisville Cross Country Classic on Saturday, Oct. 4.
West Virigina will return to Clinton, Pa. on Saturday, Oct. 11, to take part in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
WVU finishes up the regular season with the Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17, in Madison, Wisconsin. The Mountaineers close out the month at the Big 12 Championships in Lawrence, Kansas on Friday, Oct. 31.
Postseason action continues with the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships in Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday, Nov. 14, and the NCAA Championship on Saturday, Nov. 22, in Columbia, Missouri.
The Mountaineers aim to build on their momentum for a historic 2024 campaign as WVU captured the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional title and a national runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships.
This season West Virginia will be led by sophomore Joy Naukot, who earned All-America honors in her debut season with a 17th-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Championship. Alongside her is redshirt senior Emily Bryce, who brings veteran leadership and championship experience to the squad.
WVU welcomes four newcomers as junior Anastasia Chepkorir, redshirt sophomore Mercy Kinyanjui and freshman Aislinn Frazer and Alyssa Sauro join the team.
