MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team won two events at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Saturday inside the George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia.
The first event win of the day came from sophomore
Lily Haught, who took first in the women's 400 meters after posting a personal best time of 55.03 seconds. Additionally, classmates
Izayah Everett and
Cate Pickering earned personal record times in the event of 58.83 and 59.12, respectively.
In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Pickering, Haught, freshman
Carlene Temple and sophomore
Kishay Rowe claimed first with a time of 3:46.43.
Redshirt junior Sierra Hiesey had her collegiate debut in the 100-meter dash, finishing with a time of 12.72.
Next, the Mountaineers will travel to the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 12-14. The meet will be hosted by Bucknell at the Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
