
WVU’s Bryce and Tait Secure Top Marks at Bryan Clay Invitational

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Redshirt junior Emily Bryce and graduate student Sarah Tait of the West Virginia University track and field team secured top five program marks at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 16-17 in Azusa, California.
On Wednesday, Tait etched herself as No. 2 all-time in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase after posting a career best time of 9:37.62. With the time, she finished in second place and ranks No. 5 nationally in the event.
Bryce followed suit on Thursday in the 5,000 meters, finishing with a personal best time of 15:52.63. She joins an elite all-time event list at No. 4 behind alumnae and NCAA Champion, Megan Metcalfe.
Additionally, sophomore Kishay Rowe competed in the 800 meters, posting a time of 2:06.71 while claiming 28th place.
Next, WVU continues competition on Saturday at home with the Mountaineer Twilight. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. ET, and will be held at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown.
