MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team concluded a weekend of competition on Sunday at the Bison Outdoor Classic inside of the Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
WVU was led off by redshirt sophomore
Olivia Cress who placed 10
th in the women's 200 meters, with a personal best time of 24.80 seconds. Cress was trailed by junior
Sierra Heisey who additionally marked a personal best time of 25.90.
In the 100 meters, freshman
Sabria Jones finished with a time of 12:48 while Heisey notched yet another personal best time of 12.69.
Freshman
Carlene Temple posted a 57.63 finish in the 400 meters, followed by sophomore
Cate Pickering who collected a time of 59.57.
Next, the Mountaineers will split weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Mountaineer Twilight on April 16-19. The Bryan Clay Invitational will begin on Wednesday at the Cougar Athletic Stadium in Azusa, California while the Mountaineer Twilights starts Friday at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown.
