MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Multiple members of the West Virginia University track and field team collected personal best times in their respective events on the first day of the Bison Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on Friday.
The first personal best of the day came from freshman
Carlene Temple and redshirt freshman
Audrey Hall who notched times of 2:13.50 and 2:16.67 in the women's 800 meters, respectively.
Next, redshirt junior
Zara Zervos had a career outing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:13.80. Additionally, in the 5,000-meters, redshirt junior
Aubrie Custer took fifth place after posting a personal best time of 17:52.98.
In the field, freshman
Sabria Jones claimed seventh place in the long jump after leaping 5.39 meters.
Next, West Virginia will continue competition at the Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET, in Lewisburg, Pa.
