
Mountaineers Head North to Bucknell for Bison Outdoor Classic

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team will travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania for the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 12-13. The meet will be hosted by Bucknell at the Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium.

Saturday's competition is scheduled to begin at noon ET, followed by a 10:30 a.m. start on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Mountaineers are scheduled to compete in the 800 meters, 1,500 meters, 3,000-meter steeplechase, 5,000 meters as well as the high jump and long jump. WVU concludes competition on Sunday with the mile, 100-meter hurdles, 400 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters, 3,000 meters and the 4x400 meter relay.
Last time out, West Virginia competed at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational on April 4-5 in Fairfax, Virginia. The meet was highlighted by WVU's two event wins in the 400 meters and 4x400 meter relay. The 400-meter win came from sophomore Lily Haught, who took first place with a personal best time of 55.03 seconds. In the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Haught, classmates Cate Pickering and Kishay Rowe along with freshman Carlene Temple claimed first with a time of 3:46.43.
