
15 Mountaineers Set to Compete at Raleigh Relays

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team will send 15 student athletes to the Raleigh Relays on March 28-29. The relays will be held at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Friday's meet is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m. ET, followed by a 9:30 a.m. start on Saturday.
Both days of competition will be streamed live on the ACCNX, while live results will be available on WVUsports.com.
On Friday, the Mountaineers are slated to compete in the women's high jump, 400 meters, 1,500 meters, 3,000-meter steeplechase, 5,000 meters and the 10,000 meters.
West Virginia continues competition on Saturday with the 800 meters, 400-meter hurdles and the 200 meters.
Last time out, the Mountaineers opened the outdoor season on March 21-22 at both the Marty Pushkin and USF Alumni Invitationals in Morgantown, West Virginia and Tampa, Florida. The weekend was highlighted by redshirt sophomore Annishka McDonald who posted a personal best mark of 1.78 meters in the women's high jump in Tampa, tying for No. 3 on the all-time outdoor list.
