MORGANTOWN, W.Va. –
West Virginia prepares for its final weekend of the regular season with a pair of meets on the road, beginning at Penn on Friday, March 14. Competition inside the Palestra in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is set for 6 p.m. ET. The weekend then concludes in a quad meet at No. 23 Ohio State on Sunday, March 16. Joining WVU at OSU will be Kent State and Pitt, as the meet is scheduled for 2 p.m., at the Covelli Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Friday's meet at Penn will be streamed live on
ESPN+, while Sunday's quad meet at Ohio State will be streamed on

WVU is set to meet three of four opponents for the second time this season between its two meets this weekend.
The Mountaineers and Penn met last week in a quad meet at Towson on March 4. The Quakers finished in second place with a 196.2, just ahead of WVU in third place with a 196.125. West Virginia holds a 13-2 record over Penn in the all-time series, while Penn enters the meet with an 18-6 overall record in 2025.
In the quad meet at OSU on Sunday, WVU will compete against the Buckeyes for the first time since 2019, as Ohio State holds a narrow 19-14 lead in the series. WVU will face Kent State and Pitt for the second time this season, after just competing at Pitt last week on March 9. The Panthers edged out the Mountaineers, 196.575-196.275, in the dual meet, while West Virginia is 70-20-2 over Pitt in the all-time series. Kent State helped WVU open its home slate on Jan. 16, claiming a 193.775-192.325 win over the Mountaineers. West Virginia now holds a 25-10 lead in the all-time series.
Ohio State enters Sunday's regular-season finale with a 3-10 record this season, while it is 2-7 in Big Ten competition. Pitt is 4-7 overall and 0-6 in the ACC, while Kent State boasts an 11-2 record with a 6-0 mark in the MAC.
Last time out, WVU hit its second season-high score of the week, scoring a 196.275 at Pitt on March 9. West Virginia used scores of 48.925 on vault, 48.95 on the uneven bars, 49.1 on balance beam and a season-best 49.3 on floor exercise. Pitt outscored the Mountaineers to finish in first place with a 196.575, while West Virginia took second place.
In the individual event standings, West Virginia secured individual wins on three of four events, while six Mountaineers made the podium in all. Senior
Brooke Alban earned the win on vault with a season-best 9.875, her first career win on the event. Freshman
Sophia Rice (9.825) also finished in a tie for second place on vault. Fifth-year senior
Trinity Macy finished in a tie for first place on bars after reaching a new season-best 9.85. Senior
Anna Leigh and freshman
Eden Webster tallied second-place finishes on beam with a pair of season-high matching 9.85's. On floor, freshman
Emerson Smith's new career-high 9.925 helped her secure her first career event win.
In this week's Road to Nationals rankings, West Virginia jumped 10 spots to No. 38 nationally with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.47. After posting a pair of 196.0+ scores last week, WVU's NQS improved by more than seven tenths to catapult the Mountaineers into postseason contention. Of note, the top 36 teams in the Road to Nationals rankings qualify for NCAA Regionals. WVU ranks No. 40 on vault, No. 46 on bars, No. 46 on beam and No. 36 on floor.
Leading WVU's individual rankings is Leigh, who ranks No. 32 nationally, No. 4 in the Big 12 and No. 7 in the southeast region on floor exercise with an NQS of 9.9. Leigh's season high on floor is a 9.95, while she has scored a 9.9+ four times this year. Freshman
Karleigh DiCello ranks No. 18 in the league and No. 25 in the region on vault with a 9.8 NQS and 9.85 season-high score. On beam, sophomore
Julia Brown ranks No. 18 in the conference and No. 20 regionally, boasting a 9.82 NQS and 9.875 season high.
